My Mother's Day

It has been some time since I last wrote.  It isn't that I don't think of you often!  Mother's Day was this past weekend as well as Sky's 7th birthday.  My children gave me these beautiful flowers for Mother's Day.  Let me just say that the day proved I am a mom!  It started off with making myself breakfast, then cuddling with the dogs and reading the Sunday paper. I kicked it up into high gear with a few loads of laundry and becoming worried that I hadn't heard from my youngest human child.  Around noon a phone call from a strange number provided insight.  Samantha had lost her phone on Friday.  Since Friday she had activated the "find me" and located it, off base.  Police involvement, Sec Fo involvement and a venture to the GPS coordinates.  Let's make this long story shorter, the phone was recovered and it was destroyed, driven over.  =(    So what does this have to do with being a mom?  The call to mom was made to say...HELP I need a new phone yesterday!   Mom made some phone calls to the cell company, insurance, asked lots of questions to help Sam decide if she was going to upgrade or not and then at the last minute, before the cell company closed, drove over picked up the new phone, new case etc so I could ship it out on Monday morning over night.  Ohh yes, can't overnight as Sam is in such a remote location it is a 2 day ship!  =)  With no cell phone returning calls to her was a challenge.  Thank you's were given and I felt needed and wanted... a Mom on Mother's Day!
